The following software tools have been developed by our research group.

 

Mind (Microarray INformation Database)

The Microarray INformation Database is web-based microarray LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) that a) supports the daily work in a microarray lab keeping track of all relevant information about experiments; b) assures the quality control for the experiments being registered, and c) allow to perform statistical analysis over the data. While under development it has been improved continuously through a collaboration with ISCIII (Madrid) and GTI (Univ Edinburgh).

DiseaseCard

The main objective of this web-based tool (www.diseasecard.org) is the integration of clinical and genetic information from heterogeneous public and private databases through a bookmark-like management system. Each disease card gathers and integrates information covering concept from the symptom to the gene level. This information can be related disorders and mutations, drugs, polymorphisms or snp, protein structure, genetic tests, genes, protein sequences, etc.

Anaconda

Anaconda is a software application supported by mathematical, statistical for automated analysis of codon context and codon usage and also for finding tri-nucleotide repeats within ORFs on a genomic scale. It has been used to support the group research in this field and it is available for non-commercial purposes.

NeoScreen

This software is an information system that gives support to the decision in the neo-natal tracing of metabolic illnesses.
It is under exploitation in IGM in the national newborn screening program.

Himage (Healthcare Image)

Healthcare Image is a PACS that permits the storage, the integration, and the distribution of cardiologic digital images. It keeps on-line availability of all patients information through a web-based user interface, supported by compression techniques that allow high compression rate while maintaining the diagnostic quality. The system is been offered as a commercial solution and it has been used in two cardiology services.

Integration model of safe access to distributed clinical information.

Arabella

Arabella is a directed web crawler that uses text processing features to enhance results obtained from navigating a XML described map. Easy configuration, easy inclusion in existing applications and extensibility are some of its main features.
